So Far...

The last week and a half have been so educational for me.  While I used internet basics regularly I had no idea how many different ways I could incorporate the internet into my classroom.  Google docs will be such a powerful tool for my colleagues and me when we are working on common curriculum.  For all of us to have access to a document for editing purposes and to know that we will always have the most current version of that document will be wonderful.  Skyping was a great experience and I can't wait to add more people to my list of contacts, especially family that live across the country, and use it more often.  What a great way to bring guest speakers into my classroom without asking them to spend the whole day talking to my classes!  I also think that blogging would be a great way to continue class discussions and involve all sections of a class.  If we are taking about organ donation in one class, other classes could become part of the discussion through the use of a blog.
